    • There are many high-quality sites that link to hundreds of bilingual dictionaries, on-line translators and sites with English definitions and references. This page is a bit different. Being non-native English speaker I often need a dictionary or good reference to look up a definition of a word myself. So I put together a script, which loads a list of on-line dictionaries into a small browser window.
    Whenever I need translation or definition of any English word I copy it into text box and select necessary dictionary from a dropdown.

    I hope you will find this tool useful also.

    Besides bilingual dictionaries shown above, list has such English dictionaries and referenes as Webster, Dictionary.com, Encarta, AllWords, Wikipedia and others. I also added Abbreviations, Bible, Computing, Law (legal), Medical, Philosophy and Rhyming dictionaries. What I also found useful is to have a list of major search engines. Very often I want to see how a particular word is used in "real world" – in sentences on other web pages.
